The Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, is housed in the Department of Family Medicine, but collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of specialists. The sports medicine team offers a coordinated approach to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries sustained by professional, amateur, and recreational athletes of all ages and abilities.

Our team includes specialists in:

From the directors

Thank you for your interest in the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Our program offers an excellent training experience with committed faculty, diverse sports coverage, extensive research opportunities, and great flexibility. The unparalleled location, just minutes from the beach, supports an active lifestyle and boasts several endurance events.

We offer a single fellowship position each year and accept applications from residents in family medicine, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and emergency medicine. We're looking for applicants who will quickly embrace Mayo Clinic's three-shield model of clinical care, education, and research.

We expect you to competently and collaboratively offer excellent clinical care to every patient. You should be ready to learn daily and participate in the education of medical students and residents on topics related to sports and musculoskeletal medicine. In addition, you're required to design and conduct scholarly research utilizing the extensive support of Mayo Clinic's unmatched resources.
