Overview

The Pediatric Surgery Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona, is a robust two-year training program for individuals interested in pursuing a career in pediatric surgery. Nearly all of the clinical training takes place at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. 

This fellowship is supported by the graduate medical education infrastructure at Mayo Clinic in Arizona (program sponsor) and Phoenix Children's (clinical site). Phoenix Children’s Hospital provides all stipend and benefits for the fellowship.

Phoenix Children’s and the Mayo Clinic in Arizona are committed to the medical education of pediatric surgeons, providing an environment of academic enrichment, research, and a comprehensive educational experience for clinical pediatric surgery fellowship training.

Fellows who finish the program will be competitive for any potential employment opportunities that they pursue.

Accreditation

The Pediatric Surgery Fellowship is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Program history

The Pediatric Surgery Fellowship began in 2017. We anticipate that one trainee will complete the program annually.
