Discover what it’s really like to study medicine
Our Pre-College program gives high school students a hands-on introduction to medicine, science, and healthcare. Going beyond the classroom, students explore real medical challenges, learn core science concepts, and build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Learn by doing
Through hands-on labs and interactive clinical simulations, students experience medicine the way training doctors and researchers do. From honing their scientific research skills to learning about different medical specialties, students gain a clearer picture of what a future in healthcare could look like and the many career paths available to them.
Prepare for a future in healthcare
Our program combines immersive learning with real-world experience to help students build confidence and prepare for college-level study. Tackling a final project together as a group, students strengthen communication and teamwork skills, learn how to think like medical professionals, and tackle complex ideas in authentic medical and research settings at the Mayo Clinic. By the end of the program, students leave with a strong foundation for future studies and a deeper understanding of what it takes to pursue a career in medicine or the health sciences.
