Each September, the Rochester Multidisciplinary Simulation Center celebrates Healthcare Simulation Week recognized by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
This particular week celebrates global professionals who use simulation to improve the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of health care delivery (SSiH.org).
The Simulation Center is grounded on educational principles with technology and innovation, while keeping the future of learning at Mayo at the forefront.
This year, Sept. 16-20, the Simulation Center highlighted different themes related to health care simulation, including the use of standardized patients (medical actors), performing the art of medical moulage, and displaying manikin-based learning technologies, to name a few. The event was staged at the Hage Atrium, Subway Level, Siebens Building.
If you missed this special week, you can take a virtual tour of the Rochester campus Simulation Center.
