Program description

The Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences High School Health Care Boot Camp is an opportunity for high school students to participate in hands-on simulated activities and interact with allied health care professionals from Mayo Clinic. Students will have the opportunity to meet and speak with physicians and allied health staff from different departments within Mayo Clinic. Our goal is to generate an awareness and interest in the many allied health careers offered here at Mayo Clinic, such as radiography, pharmacy technician, sonography, and many more.

The one-day Saturday event takes place at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.

Details

  • Full details and instructions will be emailed to the students that have registered for the event.
  • The maximum capacity of registered students will range anywhere from 50-60 students per event. 
  • Light breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided.
  • Students to wear comfortable clothing and shoes as they will be standing for long periods of time (open toe shoes, sandals, flip flops, and heels are not allowed).

Registration requirements:

  • Must be a current high school student at the time of the event

Registration is first-come, first-served until maximum capacity is reached. This can be anywhere from 50-60 students per event.
