The Molecular Pathology Clinical Rotation at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in Jacksonville, Florida, provides testing experience to assist with the diagnosis, prognosis, and response to therapy by detecting the presence or absences of specific DNA, RNA, or protein sequences.

Admissions

Mayo Clinic is a clinical affiliate of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Diagnostic Molecular Science Program. The clinical affiliate’s program director selects students who will complete the Molecular Pathology Clinical Rotation in Jacksonville, Florida. Students are then required to complete the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences application process. Prerequisites

Students must be enrolled and have completed the required prerequisite coursework of the Florida Gulf Coast University’s Diagnostic Molecular Science Program.

Applicants whose primary language is not English must submit results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based test (TOEFL iBT). Educational transcripts from schools outside the U.S. must be translated (if they are not already in English) and evaluated for U.S. equivalence by an accredited credential evaluation service company prior to submission.
