Meet The Faculty
The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the digestive tract and liver.
On a typical day, approximately 2,165 patients receive care at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida. On average, 18,837 outpatient visits occur within our division each year. Approximately 90% of patients are from Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina. Approximately 25% of patients are covered by Medicare, and 10 to 15% of trainees' patients are from underserved communities.
The division is organized around interest groups oriented toward disease processes, organ systems, procedures, or patient groups. Clinical expertise is integrated with the newest forms of established and experimental diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
