Division members are organized into a variety of subspecialty groups, each of which focuses on a particular segment of cardiology or vascular medicine. During your training, your practical experience will span the spectrum of cardiology services and patients.

On average each year, the Cardiovascular Unit at Mayo Clinic in Arizona:

• Handles more than 90,000 patient cases
• Performs more than 45,000 ECGs
• Performs more than 11,000 echo procedures

Mayo Clinic Hospital cares for more than 1,200 patients in their catheterization laboratory and performs more than 1,000 electrophysiology procedures.

Faculty

In addition to caring for patients in their clinical practices, Mayo Clinic's faculty members are committed to teaching and facilitating the growth of medical knowledge. Advisers and mentors

You will be assigned a faculty adviser who can provide comprehensive educational advice and personal support. Your adviser also will serve as a contact point, introducing you and your family to the Mayo Clinic system.
