From the program director

Syril Dorairaj, M.B.B.S., M.D.Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Glaucoma Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a one-year fellowship that gives you a unique opportunity to work with the experienced faculty at Mayo Clinic. Highlights of our fellowship include the opportunity to treat many community and tertiary referrals of complex glaucoma patients requiring aggressive IOP lowering with traditional and newer subconjunctival and cyclodestructive procedures, and you will become adept with the co-management of those cases with other ophthalmology subspecialties within our department as well as other specialties. Our fellowship also offers a breadth of experience in managing glaucoma in patients with corneal transplants, uveitis, neovascularization, ocular tumors, and steroid response.

Our abundant research resources include clinical and basic sciences as well as the science of health care delivery, education research, professionalism, and ethics.

We are excited that you are interested in the Glaucoma Fellowship at Mayo Clinic. We look forward to the possibility of having you visit our department to see firsthand our outstanding training program.
