What makes Mayo Clinic’s Glomerular Diseases Fellowship program special?
The People! Who else can say that I learned about glomerular diseases from Drs. Fernando Fervenza and Ladan Zand? Both of these amazing GN specialists have seen countless patients, spent innumerable hours researching and collaborating across the globe to develop new treatment opportunities, and are committed to fellows’ education. The staff are dedicated to help you both as a person and as a physician providing you with the best educational experience possible. The glomerular disease clinic here at Mayo Clinic is robust, and I am privileged to work and learn in a multidisciplinary fashion how to treat and even work toward curing GN patients. You will not get an opportunity like this anywhere else.
How is Mayo Clinic helping you reach your career goals?
Mayo definitely changed my thought process on how to treat GN patients. It is hard to learn just by listening to lectures. The ability to experience patients journeys and working with Drs. Fervenza and Zand has greatly shaped the way I approach treating GN patients. Now, I feel more confident in my ability to be a good Nephrologist.
