From the program director
On behalf of the Hospital Medicine faculty at Mayo Clinic Health System — Eau Claire, I am pleased to welcome you to our program website.
Our primary goal is to help family medicine-trained physicians to transition to the challenging world of hospital medicine and inpatient care. Our complex patient population and harmonic teamwork among an interdisciplinary team are an ideal environment for either seasoned practitioners who want to transition to inpatient medicine after years of practicing in an outpatient setting, or new graduates who need further training in inpatient medicine.
Our faculty are expert clinicians and teachers who are passionate about hospital medicine and education. Our department is one of the most prolific departments in the institution. When it comes to research and opportunities to explore the Mayo Clinic shields are limitless.
We have a flexible training curriculum, tailored to each fellow's individual career goals.
I invite you to explore the website, and to contact us for more information. We are excited to meet you and learn together!
