"There are many different programs to choose from in the Endourology match and the program at Mayo Clinic was exactly what I was looking for. During the one year clinical program I was exposed to robotic and laparoscopic surgery, complex stone surgery, minimally invasive BPH procedures, and more. I was also looking for a program where I would still be able to focus on research while staying clinically active throughout the year. I had previously spent some time there as a medical student and had very fond memories of the friendliness and accessibility of the staff. "At the end of my residency, I was interested in two subspecialties — stone/BPH surgery and minimally-invasive surgery. The Endourology and Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic is a combined program where you get exposed to stone surgery, BPH surgery, and minimally-invasive surgery. It is a high-volume one-year program. It’s marginally equivalent to a two-year fellowship program in other institutions."
