From the program director

Brian Mohney, M.D.

Greetings and welcome! Thank you for your interest in our Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology-approved pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus fellowship training program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

I congratulate you on your hard work and stellar achievements, and welcome you to your penultimate step: subspecialty fellowship training. We believe this program provides premier training in both common and complex clinical scenarios of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, broad exposure and success in clinical research, with varied and abundant hands-on surgical experience, all overseen by accomplished and highly regarded faculty. In addition, you will work closely with medical students, residents, other fellows, and the full gamut of subspecialty faculty experts who make up the Department of Ophthalmology.

Our goal is to give you the tools to feel confident and excel at whatever career path you should choose. We are, therefore, genuinely excited that you are interested in our program and look forward to the potential of having you visit our department and take a look around.
