How to Apply

In-Person Program

Dates: June 2 - June 11, 2026
(Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

Time: 10am-3pm

Location: Mayo Clinic Phoenix Campus
(5777 E. Mayo Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85054)

To be eligible to apply, students must be a current sophomore or junior attending an Arizona high school. No prior clinical experience is necessary. Attendance on all days is required for participation.

Application process

1. Go to the Mayo Clinic Online Application System. 

2. Create a new account or sign-in with an existing account. If you need technical support with your log-in credentials, please email ETC@mayo.edu.

3. Once you've logged into your account, select Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science Experience, and then Mayo Clinic CARES Program (In-Person).

4. Once you have created your account and selected the correct program, please complete the application, which includes essay questions. 

**You will be asked to complete three essay questions. We highly value responses that are authentic, thoughtful and demonstrate how you have overcome challenges or adversities that have helped you become the person you are today.  

5. Application decisions will be sent via email on April 15.
