Application FAQs
When is the application period and how do I apply?
Applications for the in-person summer program are open from December 15, 2024 - February 1, 2025.
Applications for the virtual program will open in January 2025, date TBD.
Who can apply?
Current Arizona high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
Can out-of-state residents participate?
Only Arizona residents can apply. This pathway program is intended to strengthen Arizona communities, and will involve long-term mentorship throughout the year after the program ends.
Can I apply with my resume or differently than the online application?
Only online applications will be considered within the deadline. The application link will be made available in December 2023.
Program FAQs
Are there any family/guardian expectations?
Yes, parents are expected to support their students by facilitating their attendance to all program days and staying in communication with program leadership.
Can I miss part of the program or do I have to participate every day?
It is expected that students attend ALL program days. If you know that you cannot commit to the full program, please consider applying in the future.
Students selected to participate will receive a stipend for their full participation in the program. If students miss program days, funds will be deducted from their stipend.
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost to participate. This is Mayo Clinic’s service to our community. Students selected to participate will receive a stipend for their full participation in the program. If students miss program days, funds will be deducted from their stipend.
Am I responsible for my own computer?
A computer will not be necessary for the in-person program.
