Stipend

Nurse-Midwifery fellows are compensated with an annual stipend of $81,000 paid through a bi-weekly stipend.

Living expenses

Fellows will be required to secure their own housing throughout the program. Limited student housing can be applied for in Mankato and Eau Claire; however, student housing in not guaranteed.

Benefits

Nurse-Midwifery fellows will be eligible for medical insurance benefits through Mayo Clinic. Fellows will also receive $2,500 for continuing education expenses to attend conferences and required training programs.

Vacation, holiday and sick leave

Fellows are allotted 178 hours of paid time off, for personal vacation (including professional interviews), including six Mayo holidays, and sick leave. Mayo Clinic recognizes six major holidays each year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Fellows may be required to staff scheduled holidays, evenings, and weekends. A staffed holiday is not counted against the fellow's allotment of 178 hours total of paid time off.
