The PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester program provides you an opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and skills in a variety of community practice settings within a fully integrated health system. Mayo Clinic is at the forefront of research, education, and clinical practice, enabling you to participate in the care of patients using the most current evidence-based standards of care.

Our program provides a broad, yet intensive approach to all aspects of patient care in a community setting and will ensure that you complete your residency with a solid foundation of outpatient pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and transitions between care settings. You’ll have the opportunity to work with diverse populations including organ transplant, immunocompromised, pediatric, rare disease, and cancer care patients.

In addition to sharpening your pharmacotherapeutic skills in the traditional community pharmacy, we are excited to be able to offer experiences across different specialized community settings such as infusion pharmacy, compounding, and pharmacist embedded clinics in the ambulatory care setting.  You will work with providers from multiple disciplines in team-based care approach.

If you believe the needs of the patient come first, our primary value at Mayo Clinic, we encourage you to apply.
