Why I chose Mayo Clinic for residency training

The PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Emergency Medicine provides unparalleled resources and mentoring for the achievement of personal and professional goals. This is what drew me to continue my residency training at Mayo Clinic after completing a PGY-1 residency here. High-quality clinical experiences in all facets of emergency medicine are offered, and numerous opportunities are available to foster the maturation of critical thinking, research, leadership, and presentation skills. Additionally, the program leadership and preceptors strive to tailor the program to meet my interests and are genuinely invested in my success and growth as an individual and a professional. They continually create a supportive, encouraging learning environment and are sincerely dedicated to helping me develop into a highly skilled, well-rounded emergency medicine clinical pharmacist.

Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned institution at the forefront of clinical practice, education, and research, and the Emergency Department provides exposure to a diverse patient population with unique clinical conditions. It is truly an honor to be part of such a rich, long-standing tradition of excellence, and I am excited to work in a progressive, collaborative environment where patients are provided with exceptional and compassionate care. Being able to serve at an institution that is committed to putting the needs of the patient first is deeply appreciated. I am confident that my residency experience will be invaluable and allow me to provide emergent care and resuscitation to complex patients during their greatest time of need.
