Undergraduate Plummer Scholars Plus (UPS+) Program
The Undergraduate Plummer Scholars Plus (UPS+) Summer Program is a week-long program hosted at all three Mayo Clinic campuses (Arizona, Minnesota, and Florida). The intensive program allows students to explore the physician profession and prepare for medical school admissions.
Guided by a team of faculty and staff, UPS summer scholars will participate in clinical shadowing activities as well as workshops and sessions aimed at developing skills and strategies for the medical school admissions process./p>
The Academic Year Undergraduate Plummer Scholars Program runs from October to April. The week-long UPS+ Summer Program is held during summertime.

- Near peer mentorship with Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine students
Application process
Prerequisites
The UPS+ Summer Program is open to current sophomores or equivalent with a GPA of 3.7, who have participated in the current Undergraduate Plummer Scholars Academic Year Program. Applicants must have a strong interest in attending medical school, pursuing a career as a physician, and plans to take the MCAT in the next 12 months. Additionally, must be able to stand for three hours and walk two miles per day.

- After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents
- The required supplemental documents are one letter of recommendation and a copy of your unofficial transcript
- Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section
- Complete the Recommendation Request section
