Meet The Faculty

Physicians in the Department of Neurology specialize in diagnosing, treating, and researching the hundreds of conditions and diseases that can affect the brain and nervous system. Mayo Clinic neurologists work closely with specialists in neurosurgery, ophthalmology, neuro-oncology, oncology, psychiatry and psychology, pain management, sleep disorders, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and many other areas to offer patients comprehensive care.

The neurology staff at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, includes behavioral neurology specialists. They have considerable experience in evaluating and treating patients with complex neurobehavioral disorders, and each have their own unique interests, expertise, and approach to patient diagnosis and management.

Advisers

You will be assigned a faculty adviser who can provide comprehensive educational advice and personal support. The adviser also serves as a contact point, introducing you and your family to Mayo Clinic and the communities in which you will train.

Visiting professors

Many prominent professors visit Mayo Clinic each year. They present their work during morning and late afternoon lectures. Residents and fellows are encouraged to take full advantage of these opportunities to interact with experts from other academic centers and are relieved from clinical assignments to do so.
