Overview
The one-year Cardiology, Echocardiography Fellowship program at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, provides an opportunity to develop proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiographic studies as they apply to cardiovascular diseases. The program focuses on gaining an understanding of two- and three-dimensional echocardiography, M-mode, Doppler, and procedural guidance methods, applying these techniques to a variety of complex disease states.
A unique aspect of the program is its ability to be customized to your long-term goals. You will leave the program with COCATS Level 3 Echocardiography certification and will participate in no less than six months of dedicated echocardiography training. Additional tailoring can be done for the remaining six months to include a focus on structural and procedural echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, and/or cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
