The one-year Echocardiography Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, provides an opportunity for you to develop proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiographic studies as they apply to cardiovascular diseases. The program also focuses on helping you gain an understanding of echocardiographic and Doppler methods of assessing cardiovascular diseases.

Certification

After successfully completing the program, graduates are eligible to complete the certification process offered by the National Board of Echocardiography.

Program history

The Echocardiography Fellowship at Mayo Clinic began in 1995. Since that time, more than 35 physicians have completed training. It is anticipated that one or two fellows will complete this program annually.
