Why did you chose Mayo Clinic for your fellowship? I chose Mayo Clinic for my fellowship for a number of reasons. First, after having trained here as a resident, I get to continue working at a place with wonderful faculty and colleagues—folks who are passionate about teaching and who inspire me to be the best version of myself every day! Additionally, the case volume here is unparalleled, with exposure to consult and in-house surgical cases, as well as transplant and autopsy specimens. This abundance of cases will not only allow me to cultivate my clinical acumen, but will also serve as a means to perform extensive histologic and molecular research in a way that informs clinical decision making. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to learn as much cardiovascular pathology as I can, and I look forward to the year ahead!
