Positions

One position is available on a competitive basis each year in the Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Clinical Informatics Fellowship, you must have successfully completed three years of postgraduate training in a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and have extensive experience in computer science before entering the program.

How to apply

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications to this program. You must apply through ERAS.

Clinical Informatics fellowship programs do not currently participate in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). Instead, all program participate in a coordinated match process through the American Medical Information Association (AMIA).  Applications and interviews are conducted ~9-12 months prior to fellowship start and the national match occurs ~6-9 months prior to fellowship start.

You will need to submit the following as part of your application:

  • Copy of Diploma
  • CV/Resume
  • Deans Letter
  • ECFMG Certification (if applicable)
  • Personal Statement
  • Photo (optional)
  • 3 LORs 
  • Unofficial Transcript
  • USMLE exam score
