Meet The Faculty

Mayo Clinic colon and rectal surgeons and staff provide the highest quality surgical services in a caring and efficient manner while sustaining outstanding programs in research and education. The department is fully integrated with all the medical services available throughout Mayo Clinic.

Experts in all areas of colon and rectal disease consult with specialists in other departments such as oncology and gastroenterology to “provide the best care to every patient every day.” Colon and rectal surgeons evaluate elective preoperative patient evaluations, perform operative procedures, conduct postoperative care, and manage emergency colorectal conditions. Minimally invasive surgery and enhanced recovery pathways are a significant part of the practice. Colon and rectal surgeons work with state-of-the-art equipment to perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical cases.

Faculty

In addition to caring for patients in their clinical practices, Mayo Clinic's faculty members are committed to teaching and facilitating the growth of medical knowledge. Many of our faculty have published and lectured extensively and are recognized leaders in their field. You will have direct access to these individuals throughout your training program.
