Department and Faculty
The Division of Breast, Endocrine, Metabolic and Gastrointestinal Surgery at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota, has one of the largest and most experienced groups of gastroenterologic and general surgeons in the United States.
Mayo Clinic's general subspecialty surgeons have special expertise in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, surgical management of breast disease, endocrine surgery, morbid obesity surgery, abdominal wall hernias, and surgical oncology, including melanoma. They are internationally recognized for their performance of complex procedures with safety and satisfactory outcomes.
Four surgeons specialize in endocrine surgery, with an additional five surgeons who perform a substantial number of liver operations related to metastatic endocrine malignancies.

You meet with your adviser periodically throughout the program to review your progress and career goals, and ensure that your educational needs are being met. Also, your adviser may serve as a contact point for introducing you and your family to Rochester, Minnesota, and the Mayo Clinic system.
Visiting professors
