From the program directorVictor Bernet, M.D.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Our program aims to train fellows to become leaders in the areas of academic and private practice endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. We train fellows to a level of knowledge and skill set for autonomous practice. Upon completion of the program, fellows identify, evaluate, and manage the current problems and treatment issues in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

I am confident that as a fellow in our program, you will find the resources and support necessary to achieve your professional goals, whether that be in academic or private practice.

As we thrive to advance the science of medicine, we always focus on our primary value, "the needs of the patient come first."
