Scholarly Activities

Research and other scholarly opportunities at Mayo Clinic are outstanding. All trainees are expected to participate in scholarly activities during the training period and are expected to prepare and submit for publication at least one peer-reviewed manuscript during the training program.

If engaged in original research and scholarly work, trainees are strongly encouraged to pursue presentation at a regional or national conference in addition to publication. The program and individual training track directors assist trainees in defining an area of interest and help to identify a mentor(s) early in the training period.

Course work relevant to the conduct of clinical research is available through the Mayo Clinic Center for Clinical and Translational Science.
