Application Process

Positions

One position is available on a competitive basis each year in the Glaucoma Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Glaucoma Fellowship, you must have successfully completed an accredited residency in ophthalmology. U.S. and Canadian applicants must be eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or both.

Requirements also include an active Florida Medical License prior to matriculation into the program and an unrestricted DEA license.

International fellowship applicants must have equivalent training and have passed the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) examination.

How to apply

The academic year begins July 1.

The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by Oct. 1 of the year preceding the program start date.

You must apply through SF Match, a third-party application service. Do not send materials to Mayo Clinic Ophthalmology.

  2. Appointments are made through the Ophthalmology Fellowship Match, which is sponsored by SF Match.

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.

Interviews will be conducted in October and November of the year prior to the appointment.
