Faculty

Faculty members at Mayo Clinic actively participate in education. All faculty members hold academic rank within Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Each member of this faculty has developed a focus in clinical research, education or care model innovation that provides fellows with a broad range of opportunities for personal career growth.

This dynamic group is dedicated to the growth and development of hospital medicine both locally and nationally. Members of the faculty hold key leadership positions in the Society of Hospital Medicine at the regional and national levels.

Mentorship team

Each hospital medicine fellow has access to a mentorship team that consists of a primary project mentor, secondary academic mentor(s), career mentor, and clinical advisor(s). 

Visiting professors

Many prominent professors visit Mayo Clinic each year. They present their work during noon and morning lectures and participate in hospital rounds. Fellows have complete access to these sessions and are encouraged to take full advantage of these opportunities.
