I chose to pursue the Infectious Disease fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Arizona due to the well-regarded reputation of the institution and the wide array of pathologies in its patient demographics. However, over the last few months. even this expansive reputation has been surpassed in my experience. I’ve been able to partake in the care of complex patients with uncommon and unusual presentations, with simultaneous exposure to classic, standard cases within the field of infectious disease. Moreover, all the while, I have experienced great support from the entirety of the faculty, and my co-fellows.

I chose to pursue my infectious disease fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona because during my interview, it was obvious that the faculty truly cared about the fellow’s education. This in combination with the diverse, complex patient population makes Mayo Clinic Arizona an ideal place to train in Infectious disease. Additionally, I grew up in the Phoenix Metro area and can truly say (without any bias) that this is one of the greatest cities to live and work.

The Infectious Diseases Fellowship program at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, well prepared me for starting my own private practice here in the valley.
