Positions

There is one position available each year on a competitive basis in the Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Vasculitis Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Vasculitis Fellowship, applicants must have successfully completed an accredited U.S. postgraduate fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine or pulmonary medicine. Foreign medical graduates without prior U.S. training or current licensing will not be considered.

How to apply

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications for this program. You must apply through Recruit, a third-party application service. No matching program services are used.

The Recruit application and all supporting documentation should be submitted by Sept. 30, the year preceding the program start date (which is approximately 10 months in advance). The fellowship begins in July.

Complete the following steps to apply:

1. Create an account to begin the online Application for Admission.
2. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials. 
3. After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents.
• Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section (if applicable)
• Complete the Recommendation Request section (if applicable)

In addition, to the standard application materials required by Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, this fellowship requires that all applications must include these materials:

• Three original letters of recommendation with at least one of those letters from your current (or most recent) fellowship director.
• Each recommender will receive an email with a link to upload a letter. Each letter should include the writer's opinion of your professional, academic, and personal qualifications, as well as an opinion of your potential success in the field.

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews usually take place in October, with a candidate selected no later than the end of November.
