The Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship program provided comprehensive exposure to both the technical and clinical aspects of molecular testing in both the hereditary and oncology space. The opportunity to work on complex pediatric cases undergoing whole genome sequencing was incredibly rewarding. There's something uniquely satisfying about being able to provide answers to families who have often been searching for diagnoses for years. The dedication of the faculty was exceptional - their commitment to both advancing the field and mentoring trainees created an environment where you could truly dive deep into the complexities of hereditary and oncology testing. The collaborative approach to solving challenging cases, where multidisciplinary expertise comes together, was energizing and reiterated the power of team-based precision medicine.
