Positions

Two positions are available on a competitive basis each year in the Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship, you must have an M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent.

How to apply

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications to this program. Our fellowship program participates in an NRMP match and all appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). While applications for our Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship can be sent to our program directly, all appointments are made through the NRMP.

Mayo's academic year begins in July. You must submit a completed application form and all required documentation preferred by Dec. 15th. NRMP Match encourages submission before Jan. 1st.

2. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials
3. After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents
• Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section (if applicable)
• Complete the Recommendation Request section (if applicable)

Option #2

Fellowships CAS Program Portal

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.

• Interviews are conducted between January and March each year
• Programs and applicants begin registering for the match February 4th
• Ranking opens March 11th
• Rank order deadline April 15th
• Match Day is April 29th
