Overview

The Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, is a two-year fellowship that provides advanced training in microsurgical, interventional, endoscopic, and radiosurgical techniques for managing patients with complex neurovascular skull base and brain tumor pathologies.

The fellowship will provide you with a strong foundation in the knowledge and skills needed to be a leader in the management of complex cranial base and neurovascular diseases as well as brain tumors. The fellowship also includes protected time for research. In addition to clinical training, the fellowship includes a hands-on simulation curriculum to bolster skills.

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, sees a high volume of complex brain tumors and complex neurovascular and skull-base diseases. The fellowship aims to integrate cutting-edge neurointerventional techniques with microsurgical endoscopic and radiosurgical techniques.   The integration of these techniques along with a robust research environment creates a training environment that prepares graduates to compete for top academic positions.

After successfully completing the program, you receive a certification of completion in neurointerventional training from Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.

Program history

The Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, began in 2015. We anticipate one fellow will complete this program annually.
