Family: Wife, Laura Bou-Maroun, M.D., is currently completing the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan.

Why Mayo: I chose to train at a department and institution that approaches orthopedics and sports medicine with a high level of curiosity and innovative spirit. Orthopedic pathology patients from across the country come here to be treated by experts. From that perspective, there's no better place to learn about complex sports surgery and caring for active patients and athletes.

Clinical/professional interest: ACL reconstruction and shoulder/elbow injuries in throwing athletes.

Hobbies/favorite food/fun facts: Traveling, hiking, basketball, weightlifting, biking, and enjoying a good burger.
