Director's welcome

Trainees are supported with work-life balance in mind. Our department is structured with a one-on-one surgeon/advanced practitioner model whereby the resident is not overly burdened by service responsibilities and can concentrate on learning orthopedic surgery.

Accreditation

This program fulfills the training requirements as defined by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Certification

After successfully completing the program, you are eligible to take the certification examinations offered by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Program history

The Orthopedic Surgery Residency program in Florida will accept its first trainees in 2026 and anticipates the first graduates to complete the program in 2031.
