Application Process
Positions
Two positions are available on a competitive basis each year in the Pain Medicine Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the Pain Medicine Fellowship, you must have successfully completed an accredited residency in anesthesiology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or psychiatry.

How to apply
The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by April 15 of the year preceding the program start date.
You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for fellowship applicants.

Visit the ERAS for fellowship applicants' website. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials.
In addition, this fellowship requires that you submit a personal statement, including a discussion of how you became interested in pain medicine and what unique qualities you possess that will make you an outstanding pain medicine physician. Include this with your online application.

Appointments are made through the Anesthesiology Fellowship Match, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Specialties Matching Service. Candidates must register through the Specialties Matching Service in addition to applying through ERAS.

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews are typically conducted between June and July each year. Currently, program interviews are virtual.
