Why I chose Mayo Clinic: I chose the Mayo Clinic for my peripheral nerve surgery fellowship with Dr. Spinner because it offers an unmatched breadth of experience across a vast array of cases, from complex brachial plexus injuries to selective denervation and the management of both benign and malignant peripheral nerve tumors. With the Mayo Clinic being a global referral center, the sheer volume of rare and intricate cases ensures a depth of clinical exposure that is unparalleled.

This fellowship stands out for its strong emphasis on multidisciplinary training, allowing fellows to collaborate closely with experts from various specialties to address challenging peripheral nerve conditions. The support from the Mayo system, combined with mentorship from leaders like Dr. Spinner, fosters both clinical excellence and innovation.

In addition to its comprehensive clinical experience, the fellowship offers cutting-edge opportunities in clinical and translational research, as well as personalized training through microsurgical exposure, outpatient activities, and elective rotations. Fellows also benefit from opportunities to present their work at prestigious conferences, setting the stage for future professional growth. This program provides a thorough, diverse, and dynamic experience, making it an ideal choice for any surgeon aspiring to advance in the field of peripheral nerve surgery.
