Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine staff members treat sports- and activity-related injuries to facilitate a quick return to sports and activity. The division offers a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions.

Both competitive and recreational athletes are at risk of injuries that limit their performance. As an outpatient clinic affiliated with Mayo Clinic's Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine is a place where specialists from a variety of disciplines work in concert to meet the needs of each patient.

Dr. Jelsing has special interests in diagnostic MSK ultrasound, interventional MSK ultrasound, pediatric MSK injuries, regenerative medicine strategies, and exertional leg pain in athletes.

Dr. Johnson has special interests in regenerative medicine treatments for musculoskeletal disorders, ultrasound guided procedures and injections, diagnostic sports ultrasound, endurance sports medicine, and exertional leg pain.
