Meet Our Fellows
Our Pulmonary fellowship draws trainees from across the U.S. and around the world. Our fellows have come from a diverse background and as such bring unique qualities and perspectives. As we have a small program with only two dedicated pulmonary fellows our trainees have the opportunity to develop close relationships with each other and our faculty during their two-year program.

Why did you choose Mayo Clinic? The pulmonary department at Mayo Clinic is strong and the unique patient population makes for a special variety of rare and complex pathology that is hard to find in similar numbers elsewhere. When interviewing, it was obvious that the fellowship learning experience was priority and that the program was there to support you. I left feeling that at Mayo Clinic I would have the opportunity to be the best physician I can be.
What are your hobbies? Anything outdoors, camping, hiking, kayaking. Have really tried to take advantage of the outdoor activities nearby! Snowboarding in the winter and bought some kayaks for the warmer months. There is a lot of great local music in town so try and make it out to shows when I can.

Why did you choose Mayo Clinic? I wanted a very comprehensive training focusing on pulmonary disease. With the numerous pulmonary subspecialty divisions at Mayo, I knew I would be getting in-depth exposure to each subspecialty.
How has your experience been in this program? So far it's been invaluable. From learning rationales on where to place ID badges, to learning effective communication and prioritizing my mental health, I have grown professionally and personally. Everyone is willing to help and very approachable. There are so many resources available. The program directors genuinely care about our well-being, and it’s not just about work. It truly feels like home.
