Meet Our Residents

Residents in the Radiation Oncology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, come from around the U.S. and across the world. While all of our trainees have a love of learning and a compassionate approach to patient care, they come from diverse backgrounds, family status, and professional and personal interests.

Welcome to the Radiation Oncology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida!

In the Department of Radiation Oncology, medical residents learn from the fundamental principles to become excellent clinicians while also providing Mayo Clinic's standard of excellent care. Our residency training program provides an engaging and collaborative environment that allows you to reach your full potential.

Hometown: Shanghai, China/Toronto, Canada

Outside interests: Swimming, exercising, dabbling in interior design, and watching monster truck races. I'm also an art enthusiast, with Salvador Dali and Georgia O'Keeffe being two of my favorite artists.

What do you love most about training at Mayo Clinic? 

The culture here is incredibly collegial and supportive, creating an ideal environment for learning. The training and lectures are meticulously planned to ensure we receive the highest quality clinical education. 

What makes this program unique? 

The faculty members are genuinely invested in our career goals and well-being. With the expanding comprehensive cancer center and the new carbon ion radiotherapy treatment center, there are incredible opportunities for cutting-edge oncology care and research.

 Why did you choose to train at Mayo Clinic? Mayo Clinic sits at the intersection of excellent clinical training, continued pursuit of innovation, and a deeply rooted culture of collaboration, all of which I saw as highly valuable components of a strong residency experience.

 What is living in Jacksonville like for you? Despite its large geographic size, there is nothing out of reach, with destinations ranging from Mayo Clinic, to the beach, to the airport, and downtown all within a 15- to 20-minute commute.

 What drew you to Mayo Clinic for residency training? Mayo offers amazing resources and support, the expertise of faculty, and an incredible diversity of patient presentations. I could imagine no better place to build a strong foundation for my career.

What is living in Jacksonville? There is such an amazing variety of things to do. Jacksonville has all the benefits of a big city without the population density.
