Why did you choose Mayo Clinic for your fellowship program? I chose Mayo Clinic for my "Special Coagulation" fellowship because of its unparalleled reputation in both clinical excellence and academic innovation, particularly in the field of hemostasis and thrombosis. During the interview process, it was obvious that the consultants and education specialists are deeply invested in fostering a very supportive learning environment. One of the most compelling factors was the depth and diversity of coagulation-related cases seen at Mayo. With a large and diverse patient population referred from across the states, and even the world, the exposure to rare and complex coagulation disorders is unique. And this kind of clinical breadth is essential for developing nuanced diagnostic and management skills in this highly specialized field. Finally, knowing that this program consistently produces not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and well-rounded physicians confirmed for me that this is where I want to train.
