Overview

The Women's Health Fellowship provides a one-year postgraduate education experience in the rich academic and clinical environment at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Our goal is to train academic general internists or family practitioners who wish to be positioned as national leaders in the field of women's health.

Unique program opportunities include:

  • Training with women's health specialists with expertise in the field of menopause, sexual health, contraception, integrative medicine, breast health, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
  • Flexible training to meet the goals of each trainee, including three academic tracks (clinical research, medical education scholarship, and quality improvement)
  • Robust opportunities for research and medical education
  • Great work/life balance in a supportive community with several wellbeing resources available

Director's welcome

Our goal is to train you to achieve excellence in clinical practice, education, and research with expertise in the area of women's health. The program teaches you to become physician scholars and practice in a competent, professional, and compassionate manner by fostering critical thinking, lifelong learning, procedural, and technical skills.

Program history

The Women's Health Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, will begin in July 2023. We anticipate one fellow will complete this program annually.
