Stipend

The Physical Therapy Sports Residency provides a stipend of $66,566. There are no tuition fees.

Benefits

This position is eligible for Mayo Clinic's benefits package, including health, dental, and vision benefits, but not retirement benefits. A continuing education budget is provided for you to attend Combined Sections Meeting, Mayo Clinic Symposium on Sports Medicine and Performance, MNPTA Annual Conference, APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Level I course, and select other courses.

Vacation, holiday and sick leave

Residents are allotted 21 total days of paid time off for personal vacation (including professional interviews), holidays, and sick leave. Mayo Clinic recognizes six major holidays each year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Residents may be required to staff scheduled holidays, evenings, and weekends. A staffed holiday is not counted against the resident's allotment of 21 total days of paid time off.

Living expenses

Living expenses such as transportation, housing, and meals are your responsibility. The program does not offer any housing or scholarship assistance.
