Thank you for considering the Anesthesiology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Our categorical program begins with a transitional year customized to provide the perfect springboard for anesthesia training. Each PGY-1 trainee concludes their first year with a rotation in anesthesiology to provide a seamless transition to the clinical anesthesia years.

From the very beginning of anesthesiology training, residents are included in the care of the most complicated patients. Our small size allows us to customize rotation experiences, so each trainee emerges with the ability to handle clinical scenarios from complex regional anesthesia procedures and management to the tremendous breadth of transplantation and neurosurgery. The density of cases allows residents to meet most case minimums by the end of CA-2 year. By CA-3 year, graduates are well-equipped to enter private practice or begin fellowship. In fact, pain management, pediatric anesthesiology, and regional anesthesiology are all offered on our campus. Many graduates continue their training here, while others disperse to leading fellowships nationwide.

Beyond clinical exposure, faculty take pride in supporting our residents' personal and professional development. Every resident has opportunities to present at national meetings. Weare invested in the success of every resident and appreciative of the reciprocal input residents provide to further strengthen our program.
