While practicing as a staff physician in Canada, I came to appreciate the Mayo Clinic’s clinical expertise and guidance in the interpretation of complex testing. Visiting the Rochester site and meeting the Biochemical Genetics Lab Directors further affirmed this impression; I was struck not only by their depth of knowledge but also by their genuine enthusiasm for teaching and advancing the field. I’m incredibly fortunate to be able to review cases from around that world, in an environment that balances academic curiosity with clinical excellence.
