Meet the Faculty
One of the greatest advantages of training at Mayo Clinic is the approachability, accessibility, and collegiality of the faculty. Our faculty are committed to teaching and facilitating the growth of medical knowledge. Many of our faculty members have published and lectured extensively and are highly regarded in their fields.
The eight doctoral-level clinical microbiology staff members are board certified and have many years of experience in the fields of diagnostic microbiology and infectious diseases. Three faculty members are also board-certified pathologists with extensive experience in the pathology of infectious diseases. All of our faculty are engaged in applied research to create new diagnostic clinical laboratory tests to identify or monitor disease, disease processes, or treatments of disease. They are directly involved in your training throughout the Clinical Microbiology Postgraduate Fellowship.
