How to Apply

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications to this program. You must apply through Recruit, a third-party application service. The Cytopathology Fellowship participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and all positions are filled through the Match.  Our program adheres to all NRMP deadlines for application submission, interviews and appointments.

Mayo's academic year begins in July.  You must submit a completed application form and all required documentation no later than January 1st two years prior.

Complete the following steps to apply:

  1. Create an account to begin the online Application for Admission
  2. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials
  3. After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents
    • Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section (if applicable)
    • Complete the Recommendation Request section (if applicable)

In addition to the standard application materials required by Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, this program requires a letter of recommendation from your current program director (for a total of three recommendation letters). This must be completed in the Recommendation Request section. The recommender will receive an email with a link to upload a letter.

Applicants who are considered for an appointment will be invited for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.

Interviews are conducted between January and February each year.
