Our residents come from medical schools around the U.S. and outside the country. While all of our trainees have a love of learning and a compassionate approach to patient care, they come from diverse backgrounds, family status, and professional and personal interests.

Why did you choose Mayo Clinic for your training? Work/Life Balance and What it's Like Living In Jacksonville- You will work hard with early hands-on training at one of the best hospitals in the country with a close-knit group of residents and faculty. When you're not at work you feel like you are on vacation with the beach, surfing, boating, restaurants/bars, golfing, dog parks, sporting events, and music venues all in your backyard. Mayo Clinic Florida has exceptional training and quality of life.

Why did you choose Mayo Clinic for your training? I loved attending the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine for medical school. I wanted to Match here as I believe the focus on the patient in everything we do and the level of surgical training is unsurpassed. I knew if I came here not only would I learn the best surgical skills from the best surgeons available, but I would also see a focus on humanity in our daily approach. Nothing is perfect in any hospital or system of care, but Mayo still stands as a beacon of what our patients deserve.
